The Everest Base Camp Trek is a challenging adventure that offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Trekkers embark on a journey to witness the spectacular views of Mount Everest, surrounded by high-altitude scenery, Buddhist monasteries, and traditional Sherpa culture. The trek, reaching 5,364m, provides breathtaking vistas of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and Ama Dablam. While not a climb of Everest itself, it requires willpower, preparation, and a touch of luck. The trek takes participants to approximately 5650 meters, offering close-up views of 8000-meter peaks like Pumori and Nuptse, as well as the majestic Mt. Everest. Overall, it’s an opportunity to discover the hidden beauty of the Himalayas and witness the awe-inspiring Khumbu glacier.

Tour Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation
Upon arriving at Kathmandu International Airport, a representative from Aarohi Treks will warmly welcome us and transfer us to our designated hotel. After settling in, we have the option to rest. This evening marks the beginning of our adventure with Aarohi Treks. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla 30 minutes (2840m.|9316ft.), trek to Phakding (2610m.|8563ft. 3-4 hrs)
Embark on your Everest Base Camp journey with an exciting flight to Lukla or Manthali. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayas and lush hills. Spend the night in Phakding (2,610m) for acclimatization. The trail passes through Chauri Kharka, descends to Dudh Koshi river, and leads to Phakding with a glimpse of Mt. Khumbila.
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m.|11286ft. 6-7 hrs)
From Phakding, cross the Dudh Koshi river via a suspension bridge to reach Monjo, passing through a pine forest. Navigate several suspension bridges and ascend through Sagarmatha National Park. Follow the Dudh Koshi river to Jorsale for a lunch break, then trek through dense forests to reach the iconic Namche Bazaar. Get your first glimpse of Mt. Everest today.
Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (3 to 5 hours a day hiking)
Today, acclimate in Namche Bazaar by exploring, interacting with locals. Embark on a short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,962m) for stunning views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, and Kongde Peak. Enjoy the scenery and return to Namche Bazaar for the night, ensuring a gradual adjustment to high altitude.
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m.|12660ft.,6-7 hrs)
Leave Namche Bazaar's bustle for a serene walk through juniper and rhododendron forests, with views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Everest. Navigate ascents and descents to reach Tengboche village, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region, the Tengboche Monastery.
Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m.|14469ft., 5-6 hrs)
After crossing the Imja Khola, head towards Pangboche village. Take a short break to visit the ancient Pangboche monastery, the largest Sherpa settlement in the region. The trail then continues, providing a stunning panorama of Island Peak and Ama Dablam as you approach Dingboche village.
Acclimatization at Dingboche (3 to 5 hours a day hiking)
Choose between hiking to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083 m) or Chhukung Ri (5,546 m), both offering breathtaking views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Island Peak, Taboche, and more. The hike doesn't require technical climbing. In the afternoon, explore the village and engage with the locals.
Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m.|16109ft., 5 - 6 hours)
Continue the trail towards Lobuche on an uneven rocky path, gradually ascending. Take a brief lunch break at Thukla (4,600 m) and cross the pass. Enjoy phenomenal views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Nuptse, Lobuche Peak, Cholatse, and more as you make your way to Lobuche.
Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5149m.|16859ft.), then hike to EBC (5364m.|17593ft. 7 - 8 hours)
Start the day early to ascend to Everest Base Camp from Lobuche. The trail leads to Gorak Shep (5,140 m/16,860 ft), passing along the lateral moraine of Khumbu Glacier. During peak climbing season, encounter numerous mountaineers aspiring to summit Mt. Everest and other surrounding peaks. Exercise caution on the rocky and boulder-strewn trail. After exploring Everest Base Camp, trek back to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay.
Hike to Kala Patthar (5545m.|18192ft.), then trek to Pheriche (4240m.|13911ft., 7-8 hrs)
Get ready for another long trekking day. Before leaving Gorak Shep, hike to Kala Patthar, a popular viewpoint offering excellent views of Mt. Everest and other snow-capped mountains, especially during a gorgeous sunrise. Later, descend to Pheriche (4240m/13911ft.) through remote settlements and lush forests.
Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3440m.|11286ft., 7-8 hrs)
It's time to trek back to Namche Bazaar. The trail descends to Tengboche, and from there, you'll follow the same route back to Namche Bazaar. Trek through lush forests, cross suspension bridges and streams, all while enjoying fantastic views along the way.
Trek from Namche to Lukla (2840m.|9318ft., 7-8 hrs)
Start the day with a hearty breakfast in Phakding, then descend along a steep forested path. Traverse dense forests and cross several bridges over the Dudh Koshi river. Pass through small mountain villages like Jorsale and Monjo before reaching Phakding. From Phakding, ascend to Lukla alongside the Dudh Koshi river.
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1400m.|4593ft.)
Savoring the final dramatic views of the Himalayan mountains, fly back to Kathmandu for a short and thrilling journey. Upon landing at Kathmandu airport, our team members will receive you and accompany you to the hotel. In the later part of the day, enjoy free time to explore and shop for souvenirs. Gather with the team members for a farewell dinner to conclude the journey.
